All about Ewe and Me Wool Company, LLC
Ewe and Me Wool Company, LLC was started in 2023 by Jannell Sworski and Beth Ivankovic. Jannell and Beth are both shepherds and gardeners as well as passionate about the environment. They both love knowing Woolly Belly Pellets incorporate all of their passions: Sheep, growing plants, and protecting the environment.
Jannell and her husband, John, raise Angus Cattle, grow hay plus other cash crops on the west side of Eau Claire. They have a flock of sheep consisting of Polypay, Southdown, and South American Meat Merino (SAMM). Sustainable agriculture is their focus. John is also an engineer and Ewe and Me’s workflow and equipment designer.
Beth and her husband, Slavko, raise a flock of Cotswold sheep. Cotswolds are a heritage longwool breed of sheep listed in the Threatened Category by the Livestock Conservancy. They rotationally graze their sheep on the hills south of Eau Claire. They also raise chickens, grow vegetables, flowers and a natural dye garden. Beth is the Secretary and Registrar for the American Cotswold Record Association. The oldest sheep association in the United States.
Wool is such a wonderful product. Mostly known for making garments and rugs but for thousands of years, shepherds have put the wool they don’t need into their gardens or around trees. Shepherds know all the great qualities wool has and plants love. Shepherds find out quickly the issues with putting old, dirty fleeces into their gardens, they take a few years to break down leading the gardener to extreme frustration dealing with stringy wool that hasn’t broken down after one season. Wool pellets solve this issue. Pelleted wool breaks down in 6-9 months. Pellets are much easier to use and can be added to all growing mediums. Wool is an environmentally friendly, all natural, great replacement for peat moss product. Best of all wool comes from one of the best animals in the world, sheep!
Make sure you grow your plants with Woolly Belly Pellets!
